Pick up the kids from their activities and do something fun with the family! Rural South Glastonbury offers so many different farms that are open to the public. Depending on the season, you can enjoy many pick-your-own fruits, hay rides, farm fresh shopping, and even breakfast with a view at Rose’s Berry Farm! Enjoy an orchard to table breakfast while overlooking the rolling hills of the orchard from the dining deck – a must-do in town! Robb’s Farm has to be the best stop of homemade ice cream – they even have farm animals to pet and feed while you stroll through the farm eating your ice cream. In the fall, they are the #1 spot for catching harvest themed fun! Want to try boating, canoeing or kayaking? Head over to the Riverfront and enjoy the new boat house and public boat launch. It’s a great place to walk over to. Close the town’s dog park too!
Glastonbury has endless great restaurants in town; anything from Asian to Italian! The award-winning J. Gilbert’s Wood-fired Steaks and Seafood never disappoints. Although not open for lunch, they open daily for dinner at 4pm. Other great dining includes Max Amore or Max Fish, 2 Hopewell, Sayulita, Sakura Garden, or Plan B Burger Bar. Our town has undergone a huge town center revitalization project over the years and we are now known far and wide for having some of the best places to dine.
