Southbury, CT —
The One and Only

My home for the past 18 years, Southbury, CT consists of rural areas, suburban neighborhoods and historic districts. Located in western New Haven county, Southbury is known for it’s 47 miles of hiking trails, preserves, nature areas, picnic spots, boat launches and Audubon Center. Southbury is all things outdoors. Whether you enjoy walking, hiking, boating, fishing, horseback riding, cross country skiing, ice skating or sledding, Southbury is a hiker’s and nature lovers tour de force! With over 15 parks, preserves and trails and a State Park, it captures the true spirit of the outdoors in all who live and visit here. It truly is a town to enjoy all four seasons.
“Streetscape” is also a wonderful bonus in town. It is a lovely 4 mile long landscaped two sided sidewalk on Main Street South which goes through shopping centers, municipal buildings, restaurants, a multiplex cinema (opening this summer) and a post office. It is also illuminated at dusk for evening enjoyment. Take a evening stroll with a friend, jog or just walk your dog. It’s a great place to go to enjoy the great outdoors.

"Southbury is the “sweet spot” of Connecticut weather, getting just the right amount of sun and precipitation."
