Pound Ridge is the smallest town in Westchester County and is often referred to as God's County because of it's picturesque country setting. Weekenders and full time residents alike are drawn to it's open space and small close knit community. In the 1930s, Hiram Halle, a New York inventor and businessman, moved to Pound Ridge and began restoring houses damaged by the British during the Revolution. Pound Ridge has one of the most active recreation departments in the county. There is much to do and see throughout the year from the 4th of July Firework Celebration to the annual Harvest Festival, a town wide block party with live music, games and great food. On Halloween, all the businesses in town close down from 4-6pm and offer a place for kids to go trick or treating. The Fire Department sets up a Haunted House in the station and offers free donuts and apple cider. These are just a few of the ways the town gathers together throughout the year.
