West Harlem, NY —
West Harlem is my favorite neighborhood in Upper Manhattan!

West Harlem is my favorite neighborhood in Upper Manhattan and has been my home for the past 12 years. I love the Parisian and multicultural feel of this beautiful Manhattan enclave nestled between Morningside Park, St. Nicholas Ave and the Hudson River. It’s very easily accessible on its eastern side with the A, B, C, D subway lines and on its western side with the 1 train, it is also conveniently accessible with the M3, M4, M5 bus lines.

"You’ll see the Hamilton Grange National Memorial, the last home and museum dedicated of founding father, Alexander Hamilton."

Some people don’t know that West Harlem has one of the biggest concentration of academia in NYC and is the home to Columbia University, Barnard College, Teachers College, Union Theological Seminar, Jewish Theological Seminar, Manhattan School of Music, Jerome L. Greene Science Center and the City College of NY.

"It’s also the home to some of NYC’s most beautiful architecture, with beautiful wide airy avenues, truly giving a Parisian feel to the area."

West Harlem has a multitude of bars and coffee shops offering a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. My favorites of these are Hamilton Bakery, Chipped Cup on Broadway, Hungarian Pastry Shop, Sugar Hill Café and Monkey Cup on Amsterdam
West Harlem is surrounded by beautiful parks like Riverside Park, General Grant National Memorial, Morningside Park, St. Nicholas Park, West Harlem Pier and Riverbank State Park. It’s also the home to some of NYC’s most beautiful architecture, with beautiful wide airy avenues, truly giving a Parisian feel to the area. Some of NYC’s most beautiful churches like Riverside Church and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine are also located here. I hope to see you in the neighborhood soon.
