Armonk, NY —
There’s something for everyone of all ages

I’ve been living in the town of North Castle for over 25 years and Armonk, a hamlet in the town, is a wonderful place that we call home. Being a part of this small town has been a fabulous experience raising my family. One of the main reasons we moved here was the outstanding reputation of the award winning Byram Hills Public Schools. There are many other benefits when living in a small town like ours. You can walk to everything and there’s a great sense of pride in our community from the local shops to the several outstanding restaurants. I especially love walking through Armonk Square and stopping by the friendly Tazza Cafe for a delicious chai tea latte, or getting a quick bite for lunch at Armonk’s Country Kitchen... the turkey dumplings are still my daughter Crissyʼs favorite. And when it comes to dining, weʼve got that covered, with options in American, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and Indian cuisine. I adore the Chicken Vindaloo and Peshwari Naan at Indi-Q

"This charming red and white house situated on Main Street has been a staple in our town for almost 60 years! "

If you’re an avid skier or cyclist, you must stop in and visit Hickory & Tweed, a family-run business and premier ski and bike shop in the country. This charming red and white house situated on Main Street has been a staple in our town for almost 60 years!

As for parks, we have several to relax and enjoy whether youʼre into sports, picnics, or fun playgrounds. Wampus Brook Park with our Gazebo bandstand and tranquil brook, Winkler Park, John Lombardi Park and North Castle Community Park, just to name a few. As for our seasonal annual festivities we have the Armonk Lions Club Fol-de-Rol held every June at the Wampus Community Park. This fundraising event consists of rides, a pet and car parade, games, craft and food vendors, entertainment, animals, and much more. Definitely a fun-filled time for the kids and adults as well. In September, we have the renowned Armonk Outdoor Art Show, ranked #2 Best Fine Art & Design Show in the nation! Run by community volunteers, this juried show is sponsored by the Friends of the North Castle Public Library and the proceeds benefit the North Castle Public Library and Whippoorwill Hall Theater. I can’t believe we will be celebrating our 58th year. Each time I attend, I love to buy something that is truly unique and memorable: a painting, sculpture or jewelry to clothing, accessories or decoratively hand-painted wooden bowls.

"Like the song goes in “Cheers”, itʼs truly a special place “where everybody knows your name and youʼre always glad you came.”"

Iʼve been a huge fan of the TV show “The Gilmore Girls” and for me, Armonk is definitely my Stars Hollow. Like the song goes in “Cheers”, itʼs truly a special place “where everybody knows your name and youʼre always glad you came.”
