Naples, FL —
Top Ten ‘Can’t Miss’ Activities

These are my top ten picks for fun things to do while in Naples, Florida. Of course there are many many more things to do, but this list will fill your needs on your first trip to Naples and more than likely, you’ll want to experience them again!

Golf

Naples is home to more than 70+ golf courses throughout Collier Country.
Known as being the “Golf Capital of World”, you’ll not be disappointed in the
abundance of different options that are available in Naples. If you’re feeling brave,
check out Tiburon, designed by Greg Norman. It’s incredibly beautiful, but
challenging. For those up for a lesser challenge, try Lely Golf Resort, it’s more
forgiving and offers beautiful views and top notch fairways.

Beaches

Naples is some to some of the best beaches in the USA. Two of which
are ranked in the Top 20 each year by Dr. Beach. Delnor Wiggins State Park and
Barefoot Beach are definitely two beaches worth exploring. The nice thing about Delnor
Wiggins State Park is that there are built in grills throughout the park. Simply bring
your food, charcoal, lighter and some drinks and you can enjoy a fantastic beach front
barbecue on the Gulf of Mexico!

Naples Pier

The Naples Pier is probably the number one attraction in Naples. It’s
been part of the Naples landscape for over 100 years. Destroyed by three hurricanes
in 1910,1926 and 1960, the Naples Pier extends about a quarter-mile out into the Gulf of
Mexico and offers an incredible spot to watch the sunset. You can fish there and catch some dinner for that barbeque at Delnor Wiggins State Park, (No license required on the Pier) or simply take a beautiful evening stroll. It’s makes for a beautiful morning stroll as well!

Naples Botanical Garden

Located just four miles southeast of downtown
Naples, this is a must see for those that truly love gardening and flowers. It’s a great
way to get some exercise and take in some of the most beautiful garden scenery
you’ll find anywhere. You’ll be able to take lots of great pictures throughout the 170 types of flowers. Throughout the year they host a number of phenomenal events, including
gorgeous lighting during the holiday season!

Restaurants

One of the joys of living in Naples is the abundance of restaurants,
the hard part is deciding on which one to choose. Naples is home to some of the
finest cuisine in the world. Many of the restaurants can be found strolling down 5th
Avenue, but pretty much anywhere you go in Naples, you’re sure to find one that will
feed your fancy. A couple of my favorites are Campiellos (Italian) on 3rd Street and
Chop’s (steakhouse) on 5th Avenue. You will not be disappointed!

The Arts

Naples has been noted as being one of the finest small art towns in
America. There are incredible painters, craftsmen and sculptors that have small
gallery’s throughout Naples, many located on 5th Avenue and 3rd St. If you’re into
shows, check out The Artis, the home of the Baker Museum and the Naples Philharmonic. The Sugden Theater also has some of the finest talent in all of Florida performing off-Broadway plays, musicals and concerts.

Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

Take a magical stroll along the more than 3
mile boardwalk and see what Florida looked liked hundreds of years ago. It typically
takes around 3 hours to take the full tour, but you can take as little or as much time as
you’d like. Make sure you bring your camera and comfortable walking shoes!

Naples Zoo

The Naples zoo has been a tourist attraction in Naples for the past
45 years and has been a botanical garden for over 95 years! It’s grown considerable
over the past 15 years adding many new attractions. This is sure to please the
children and all those who support and enjoy wildlife. There are plenty of exhibits,
shows and educational programs that happen everyday at the Naples Zoo. Don’t
forget to see the alligator feeding!

Sunset Cruise

One of things we have in Naples and is very cherished are
phenomenal sunsets. A great way to watch sunset is being out on the Sweet Liberty
Catamaran. They offer day cruises and sunset cruises. They provide a wealth of
knowledge on Naples. Renting a catamaran is a fun way to experience the Naples waterways.

Water Sports

For the ones that want to get out on the water and experience a
thrill, check out Pure Naples located at Tin City on the water. They rent boats and jet
skis, along with offering a thrill ride of their jet boat. If you are looking for something a
little calmer, they offer dolphin cruises, sunset cruises and sightseeing. Pure Naples
pretty much checks off all the boxes if you’re looking to experience some fun on the water!
